AIRNET SYSTEMS 4TH-QUARTER EARNINGS UP 40.7%

   AirNet Systems Inc., a specialty air courier, reported net income of $1.9 million for the quarter ending Dec. 31, up 40.7 percent over the year-earlier period.

   Net revenue rose slightly, to $32.9 million.

      For the year, net income nearly doubled to $7.3 million, from $3.8 million in 1999. Net revenues increased 5.2 percent in 2000 to a record $135.2 million, the company said.
