BDP NAMES SALMON TO VICE PRESIDENT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
BDP International has appointed Ken Salmon to vice president of information technology.
In this position, Salmon will oversee the migration of existing systems to the Web-based G-Log/BDP International trade logistics platform, as well as provide technical oversight of the Philadelphia-based logistics and transportation services firm’s Web-based customer service applications — BDPTrax, BDPData, and BDPDox.
Salmon will also be responsible for a financial data mart, departmental budget controls, BDP’s server, and desktop and network infrastructure linking freight management centers to more than 20 cities in North America and subsidiaries, joint ventures and partners in 100 countries overseas.
Prior to joining BDP, Salmon was director of engineering for Dow Jones.
