EVERGREEN SWITCHES TACOMA, VANCOUVER CALLS BETWEEN TWO PACIFIC SERVICES
Evergreen Line is switching Pacific Northwest calls at the ports of Tacoma, Wash., and Vancouver, British Columbia, from its “KJW” Korea/Japan/U.S. West Coast service to its “HTW” Hong Kong /Taiwan/U.S. West
Coast loop, with effect from this week.
The weekly transpacific “HTW” service now calls at Busan and has a revised rotation of Los Angeles, Oakland, Vancouver, Tacoma, Busan, Kaohsiung, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, Oakland, Vancouver and Tacoma.
From this week, the “KJW” weekly service will stop calling Vancouver and Tacoma and will have a rotation of Los Angeles, Portland, Tokyo, Hakata, Busan, Yokkaichi, Shimizu, Tokyo, Los Angeles and Portland.
Evergreen said that a direct service from Japan to Vancouver and Tacoma will be maintained by its weekly “TPN” Transpacific Northwest loop.
The revised transit times of the services are posted on the free global sailing schedules database www.compairschedules.
Evergreen is currently carrying out studies on its future service deployment in the Asia/North America trade and further changes are expected within a few weeks, a spokesman for Evergreen America Corp. said.
