TMM SETS UP HONG KONG JOINT VENTURE AGENCY
Transportacion Maritima Mexicana’s liner division has
set up TMM Lines (HK) Ltd., a joint venture agency with Ben Line Agencies (HK) Ltd.
The Hong Kong joint venture company will be responsible for sales and
marketing in Hong Kong and South China for TMM, while Ben Line Agencies will act as
general agent for TMM.
TMM, which entered the transpacific trade earlier this year, previously
used Adstream Agency (HK) Ltd. (formerly Burns Philip Shipping Agencies) as a third-party
agent in Hong Kong.
