Lloyd Triestino adds Med/U.S. East Coast service
Lloyd Triestino will start a weekly Mediterranean/U.S. East Coast service mid December under a slot charter arrangement with CMA CGM.
The Italian shipping line will take space on the existing service of CMA CGM, which employs five vessels of about 1,600 TEUs.
The port rotation of the service is: Lisbon, Malta, Leghorn, Genoa, Fos, Valencia, Lisbon, New York, Norfolk, Savannah, Port Everglades and Lisbon.
For Lloyd Triestino, the first westbound sailing will be from Malta on Dec. 12 and the first eastbound sailing on Dec. 15 from New York.
“Lloyd Triestino is committed to being a global player and especially for us as an Italian carrier, having no service between the Mediterranean and North America was really a missing link,” said Pier-Luigi Maneschi, chairman of the shipping line.
