FEDEX WILL RAISE RATES
FedEx Express, the air delivery arm of Memphis-based FedEx Corp., will raise rates by an average 4.9 percent for domestic shipments and 2.9 percent for U.S. export shipments effective Feb. 1.
The company said the increase will insure that FedEx delivers “outstanding service and value, backed by the user-friendly technology.”
“The value that FedEx provides in streamlining customer’s supply chains, with speed and information replacing working capital and inventory, is increasingly important in today’s economic environment,” said T. Michael Glenn, FedEx executive vice president of market development and corporate communications.
