MSC EXPANDS, UPGRADES FAR EAST SERVICE
Mediterranean Shipping Co. has launched a new and separate Far East/Mediterranean routing, called “Dragon Service,” using eight vessels of approximately 2,200 TEU capacities.
The “Dragon Service” port rotation will be Shanghai, Xiamen, Chiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Valencia, Barcelona, Fos, La Spezia, Jebel Ali, Singapore, Chiwan, and Shanghai.
Caroline Becquart, MSC’s liner manager for Far East services, said that the “Dragon Service” was “a logical progression of our network in the region.”
The “Dragon Service” will complement MSC’s existing “Silk Service,” which operates 10 vessels of 6,700 TEU capacities.
The “Silk Service” port rotation is Le Havre, Antwerp, Hamburg, Bremerhaven, Felixstowe, Piraeus, Jebel Ali, Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai/Xiamen, Quindao, Xingang, Busan, Ningbo, Chiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Piraeus and Le Havre.
