P&O Nedlloyd, Hapag-Lloyd, CMA CGM to swap space in Med/U.S.
P&O Nedlloyd, Hapag-Lloyd and CMA CGM will swap space in the trade between the Mediterranean and the U.S. East and Gulf coasts, starting from October.
CMA CGM, which will start in October a U.S. East Coast/Mediterranean/Lisbon weekly container link called “Amerigo Express” jointly with China Shipping Container Line, will take space on the joint “Gamex” U.S. East Coast/Gulf/Mediterranean service of P&O Nedlloyd and Hapag-Lloyd.
In return, P&O Nedlloyd and Hapag-Lloyd will take slots on the “Amerigo Express” service of CMA CGM and China Shipping.
CMA CGM recently said it would terminate its existing slot charter arrangement with Maersk Sealand in this trade.
