U.S./AUSTRALIA VSA SHIPS START CALLS AT VANCOUVER

The U.S./Australasia vessel-sharing agreement between Australia-New Zealand Direct Line, P&O Nedlloyd, Columbus Line and FESCO has started direct calls at the port of Vancouver, British Columbia.

ANZDL said that the service at the port started when the “Direct Falcon,” one of its containership, made a call at Vancouver on May 11.

ANZDL said that the containership offloaded primarily food stuffs from Australia and New Zealand, and loaded commodities, such as agricultural machinery, vinyl siding, canned salmon and fire places bound for Australasia.

The vessel-sharing agreement of ANZDL, P&O Nedlloyd, Columbus and FESCO provides a weekly Pacific Northwest/Australia/New Zealand service, as well as a separate weekly Pacific Southwest/Australia/New Zealand loop.
