NEW ENTRANT VALUSHIP CHARTERS SHIP FOR TRANSATLANTIC

ValuShip Ltd., a new Canada-based shipping line run by Klaus Glusing, has chartered a containership for its new liner service between northern Europe and the west coasts of the U.S. and Canada.

ValuShip said that it has made a lease agreement with the owners of the “Brave Eagle,” a 1,022-TEU containership. The carrier said that the ship is the first of the company’s planned four vessels.

ValuShip will commence its service at the port of Vancouver, British Columbia, on Dec. 20. The service will call Vancouver, Tacoma, Oakland and Rotterdam. Details and transit times of the service are posted on www.compairdata.com, the global liner shipping database on the Internet.

ValuShip said that it will be making further announcements about its expansion plans in the next few weeks.
