AIR FRANCE REPORTS RISE IN PROFIT

Air France reported a 52-percent rise in first-half profit of 310
million euro ($313 million), mainly due to route expansions from its
alliance with Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines, the carrier said.
Operating profit in the first six months of the airline’s fiscal year
rose 85 percent to 354 million euros.
Air France said it expected to report a full-year improvement in profit
over last year, but warned that higher jet fuel prices are adding costs.
