CARRIERS RAISE RATES FROM EUROPE TO MIDDLE EAST, INDIA-PAKISTAN
Two conferences of shipping lines in the Europe/Middle East and Europe/Indian Subcontinent trades have announced rate increases.
The planned, identical increases of the Europe Middle East Rate Agreement and the India Pakistan Bangladesh Ceylon Conferences are $150 per 20-foot container and $200 per 40-foot box, effective June 1.
The Europe Middle East Rate Agreement carriers are Andrew Weir Shipping (Ellerman), CMA CGM, Hapag-Lloyd, Maersk Sealand, P&O Nedlloyd, Safmarine and United Arab Shipping Co.
The India Pakistan Bangladesh Ceylon Conference carriers are Andrew Weir Shipping (Ellerman), Bangladesh Shipping Corp., Ceylon Shipping Corp., CMA CGM, Contship Containerlines, Evergreen, Hapag-Lloyd, “K” Line, Maersk Sealand, Malaysia International Shipping Corp., Pakistan National Shipping Corp., P&O Nedlloyd, Rickmers Linie, Safmarine, Shipping Corporation of India, United Arab Shipping Co., Yang Ming Line and Zim Israel Navigation Co.
