SAP acquires TomorrowNow
SAP, a German provider of technology to manage business processes, has acquired TomorrowNow, a U.S. provider of software maintenance. The purchase appears aimed at 12,750 clients of PeopleSoft, which has been taken over by rival Oracle.
TomorrowNow's customers include companies that use software programs from SAP, PeopleSoft and JD Edwards, which PeopleSoft acquired in 2003.
SAP has said after the acquisition it would continue to administer PeopleSoft products for any customers of TomorrowNow eager to switch to SAP. 'We expect a major number to come to us,' Peter Graf, SAP's senior vice president, told The Financial Times.
SAP did not disclose terms of the purchase.
