FMC reviews 16 OTI applications, revokes 16 licenses
The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission has received 16 ocean transportation intermediary license applications for review.
The agency received non-vessel-operating common carrier license applications from Embarque El Comando, Bronx, N.Y. (Antolin German, president); Lead Young Logistics, Los Angeles (Moises De La Vega, president); Orient Star Shipping of Chicago, Skokie, Ill. (Marissa Carido, president); E.P. Stereo Plus, East Providence, R.I. (Marta V. Morais, president); and Embarque M. Calvo, Bronx, N.Y. (Modesto Calvo, president).
The FMC received NVO-ocean freight forwarder license applications from Fresh Logistics, St. Louis (Keith Robinson, president); AOL Freight Solutions, Charlotte, N.C. (Arthur Cottingham, president); Eastern Direct System International Corp., Springfield Garden, N.Y. (Xiao Chun Leung, president); World Port, Springfield Garden, N.Y. (Mario M. Ruiz, president); and Unity Container Line, Miami (Pedro Streb, president).
The agency also received ocean freight forwarder license applications from Worldpack, Seattle (Rafael Flores, director); AMR Investments, Kenilworth, N.J. (James Madden, president); Ambassadors Moving & Shipping, Philadelphia (Daisy Pacheco, president); Active Link Logistics, Waukee, Iowa (Melinda F. Dunsmoor, manager); American Freight Line — Southeast, Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (Gabriele Heinrichs, president); and Secure Transportation and Relocation, Sterling, Va. (James V. Re, director).

The FMC revoked 16 OTI licenses for failure to maintain valid bonds.
