NORFOLK SOUTHERN OFFERS ONLINE BILLS OF LADING
Norfolk Southern Corp. has launched an Internet system that allows customers to electronically create bills of lading for new shipments.
The system also provides an estimate rate immediately upon requesting a shipment. The new application is part of the railroad’s suite of Web-based applications, http://www.nscorp.com/access>www.nscorp.com/access.
Based in Norfolk, Va., NS operates about 21,800 miles of track in 22 states.
