APL’s volumes up, revenues down
APL transported 157,100 40-foot equivalent units during the four-week period ended May 5, up 3 percent from 152,600 FEUs in the same period last year, reported parent company Neptune Orient Lines.
During the same four-week period, APL’s average revenue per FEU dropped 5 percent to $2,631 from $2,769.
For the year to date, APL’s volumes are up 5 percent to 686,900 FEUs from 651,800 FEUs. Average revenue per FEU for the year so far has dropped 2 percent to $2,684 from $2,740.
