LIVINGSTON WINS CONTRACT FOR CANADIAN VEHICLE IMPORTS
Transport Canada has awarded Livingston International, the Toronto-based customs broker, with a $4.2-million-a-year contract to ensure that imported vehicles meet Canadian standards.
Adminserv Canada, a Livingston subsidiary, will register the vehicles, which must be inspected at authorized Canadian Tire service centers and brought into compliance within 45 days. Adminserv has been providing about $1.2 million in data management services under this vehicle import program. The subsidiary was also awarded a $200,000 contract by Canada Customs for data-entry services in Quebec and the Atlantic region.
