Seafarers International Union re-elects officers
The Seafarers International Union (SIU), a U.S. labor association of unlicensed seamen, has re-elected a slate of officers headed by Mike Sacco, president of the SIU for the last four years.
Other officials who were returned to their posts include John P. Fay, executive vice president; Augie Tellez, contracts and enforcement vice president, and David Heindel, secretary-treasurer.
Election results have been certified by a rank-and-file committee, and will be submitted to the full SIU membership for expected approval at union meetings in March.
