Purolator International opens new headquarters

The shipping company’s growth of more than 40 percent over the past four years spurred it to open a new, 21,000-square-foot Nassau County, N.Y. headquarters.

Purolator International, a parcel and freight services delivery company, opened a new Nassau County, N.Y. headquarters yesterday in Jericho to consolidate and expand its operations on Long Island, said Empire State Development, New York’s chief economic development agency.
The company’s growth of more than 40 percent in the past four years spurred it to open the 21,000-square-foot facility, which it renovated and outfitted.
The new facility will allow Purolator International to further expand its services to new markets including Mexico, the United Kingdom and China in the coming years.
The company will hire at least 40 additional employees, retain current employees and maintain those staffing levels through 2025.
Empire State Department will provide Purolator International with up to $600,000 in Excelsior Jobs Program tax credits to encourage the company to expand in New York State.
“Purolator International’s shipping capabilities provide Long Island companies access to markets throughout the world,” Empire State Development President, Chief Executive Officer and Commissioner Howard Zemsky said in a statement. “Purolator’s expansion here highlights the success of programs like Global New York, which helps New York businesses expand to new markets outside the U.S.”
Purolator International is a U.S.-based subsidiary of the Canadian freight, parcel and logistics services provider Purolator Inc.
