ANDERSEN IS PROMOTED EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT AT A.P. MOLLER
Thomas Thune Andersen has been promoted to executive vice president of A.P. Moller, the parent company of Maersk Sealand.
The appointment coincides with Andersen’s appointment as head of Maersk Contractors, the drilling and oil and gas subsidiary of the Danish group.
Andersen recently returned to the group’s head office in Copenhagen from London to take up his new position.
He had joined the A.P. Moller group as a shipping trainee in 1977 and has since worked for Maersk Line (now Maersk Sealand) in Asia and Europe. He was most recently head of The Maersk Co. Ltd. in the United Kingdom.
