C.H. ROBINSON ACQUIRES REFRIGERATED LTL COMPANY

   C.H. Robinson Worldwide Inc. has acquired Trans-Consolidated Inc., a third party logistics company specializing in refrigerated less-than-truckload services for the perishable food industry. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

   TCI, like C.H. Robinson, is non-asset-based. The company has contracts with more than 400 carriers companies and contracted cold storage warehouses. Brooklyn Center, Minn.-based TCI had revenues of about $24 million in 1999.

   Olivia M. Bradley, chairman of TCI, will retire following the acquisition. Kenneth R. Jahr, president and chief executive officer of TCI, will join C.H. Robinson as manager of the new TCI/Robinson branch office.

   C.H. Robinson, based in Eden Prairie, Minn., expects revenues of about $3 billion in 2000.
