LEL buys San Juan’s C&F

Leading Edge Logistics (LEL), a non-asset based third party logistics company, has acquired C&F Logistics of San Juan, Puerto Rico and will roll those operations into its Puerto Rico division LEL Caribe.
By acquiring C&F, a non-vessel-operating common carrier, LEL hopes to become a top NVO in the Caribbean. For its North American operations, LEL has warehouse and cross-dock facilities in Elizabeth, N.J.; Jacksonville, Fla.; Miami; Los Angeles; and San Juan.
In addition to Puerto Rico, LEL Caribe provides both full-containerload and less-than-container services to and from the Dominican Republic, with plans to expand to the rest of Central America.
C&F will provide less-than-trailerload and LCL services for goods coming from North America through LEL Caribe’s consolidation centers and heading for San Juan and the Dominican Republic. LEL Caribe currently manages in excess of 50,000 shipments annually.
C&F was founded in 1984 by Jose Del Cueto.
