SAP hinders HP
Hewlett-Packard placed much of the blame for lower-than-expected third quarter earnings on trouble it had implementing supply-chain software from SAP, according to USA Today.
SAP took six weeks to install the software instead of the expected three weeks, the paper reported based on information provided during a conference call with analysts.
In its earnings report, HP said “a migration to a new order processing and supply chain system was more disruptive than planned,” without naming the technology vendor.
