GERMAN ARMED FORCES PICK DEUTSCHE POST
The German Federal Armed Forces have contracted with Deutsche Post World Net to handle the domestic and international dispatch of “light material and urgent documents.”
“Light material” means packages up to 50 kilograms (110 pounds).
The end-to-end service for the Armed Forces includes normal parcel dispatch, called “Business-Paket,” and the transport of larger items in door-to-door containers, known as “Haus/Haus Behalter.”
Deutsche Post World Net and its express subsidiary, DHL, will collect and deliver parcels and documents at every Armed Forces office.
