U.S. DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE SETS DAIRY TARIFF-RATE IMPORT QUOTA LICENSE FEE

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has set the fee for 2001 for each license authorizing the import of certain dairy products subject to tariff-rate quotas set in the Harmonized Tariff Schedule at $120 per license.

Licenses are issued on a calendar-year basis, and each license holder may import a specified quantity and type of dairy product from a specified country of origin. The use of licenses is monitored by the Dairy Import Quota Manager, Import Licensing Group, Import Policies and Program Division, Foreign Agriculture Service, of the Department of Agriculture and the U.S. Customs Service.
