SMC³ launches intra-Mexico LTL benchmark

The trucking technology provider said the new product offers rating solutions based on dimensional weight, modeled on Mexico-to-Mexico postal codes and delivered in Mexican pesos.

Trucking technology provider SMC³ launched a less-than-truckload (LTL) rate benchmark for shipments traveling point-to-point within Mexico, the company said Monday.
The new product, MexicoLite Intra, has joined the CzarLite family of base rate products as an extension of MexicoLite, which contains base rates for shipments between the United States and Mexico.
MexicoLite Intra provides rating solutions based on dimensional weight, modeled on Mexico-to-Mexico postal codes and delivered in Mexican pesos.
“U.S.-, Canadian- and Mexican-based shippers and 3PLs have lacked a set of intra-Mexican benchmark rates for use in their negotiations with carriers. We created MexicoLite Intra to fill that void and meet overwhelming marketplace demand,” SMC³ President and CEO Andrew Slusher said. “These customers now have the ability to compare our neutral base rate with rates provided by each carrier.”
