NEPTUNE ORIENT LINES PROMOTES STODDART GROUP CIO

   Neptune Orient Lines, the parent company of APL Liner and APL Logistics, has promoted Cynthia A. (Cindy) Stoddard chief information officer for the group.

   Stoddard has been CIO of APL, the group’s liner shipping arm, and will replace Hans Hickler, who has been promoted chief executive officer of APL Logistics.

   Stoddard will also continue her role as CIO of APL, sitting on the executive committee of the liner company.

   “Cindy Stoddard has a proven record as a senior IT professional with more than 20 years experience in the industry, specializing in the transportation and logistics field,” said Flemming Jacobs, CEO and president of Neptune Orient Lines.

   Stoddard will be supported by Mike Moore, the CIO of APL Logistics.

   APL Logistics is developing an exception-based tool called See Change Services.
