TRAC introduces chassis booking, emergency road service apps

The new RoadStar road service app gives motor carriers real-time visibility and tracking of their emergency road repair requests, plus updates all parties in the repair chain, chassis provider TRAC Intermodal said in a statement.

New Jersey-based chassis pool manager and equipment supplier TRAC Intermodal has introduced two new mobile applications that the company says will improve and simplify customer access to emergency road service and online chassis booking.
The new RoadStar road service app gives motor carriers real-time visibility and tracking of their emergency road repair requests, plus updates all parties in the repair chain, according to TRAC.
“Customers gain added confidence and peace of mind knowing that their repair requests have been received and quick actions have been taken, getting them back on the road as fast and safely as possible,” the company said in a Sept. 15 statement announcing the app.
The app is powered by emergency road repair solutions provider TRAC Interstar, which was formed when TRAC Intermodal acquired Interstar Fleet Services in 2016 and formed one of North America’s principal providers of intermodal and over-the-road commercial trucking industries.
TRAC’s other new app, dubbed EZBook 2.0, is actually an updated version of TRAC Intermodal’s web-based portal for daily chassis rentals. The enhanced version, TRAC said, makes booking a chassis easier and faster by giving users more control over the transaction.
“The EZBook 2.0 app brings the functionality of the EZBook online booking system to mobile devices, making the transition to mobile booking smooth and trouble-free,” the company said.
TRAC Intermodal President and Chief Executive Officer Keith Lovetro said that TRAC is developing several other app-based offerings aimed at streamlining the chassis leasing experience that it plans to announce in the coming months.
“TRAC is focused on giving our customers the latest tools and technologies to address any challenges they may face on the road and provide even easier access to the high-quality equipment that they need,” Lovetro said.
