FIREMAN’S FUND PICKS OCEANWIDE SYSTEM
Fireman’s Fund McGee Marine Underwriters has contracted with Oceanwide.com to license Oceanwide’s “Genoa” software solution.
The online platform allows all participants in an ocean cargo insurance policy – customer, agent, and insurer – to file and process claims in a real-time environment.
Fireman’s Fund McGee will customize the “Genoa” software and call it “FOCUS,” for Fireman’s Fund On-Line Cargo Underwriting System, and expects the system to be up and running next spring.
Oceanwide.com, based in Montreal, provides vertically oriented B2B management solutions. Fireman’s Fund is the property and casualty representative in the U.S. for its parent company, Allianz AG in Munich, Germany.
