Federal Railroad Administration names deputy

Matthew M. Sturges formerly was majority staff director for the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.

   Matthew M. Sturges has been appointed to the role of U.S. Federal Railroad Administration deputy administrator. 
   He previously was the majority staff director for the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, for which he directed legislative oversight and authorization efforts related to the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation Act. 
   Sturges also served as the House committee’s deputy staff director of the Aviation Subcommittee and was deputy director of government affairs for the Republican National Committee as well as director of coalitions for the House Republican Conference led by Rep. Deborah Pryce, R-Ohio.
