FEDEX CUSTOM CRITICAL PURCHASES PASSPORT TRANSPORT
FedEx Custom Critical Inc. has acquired St. Louis-based Passport Transport, which moves antique cars, race cars and other specialty autos. Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
Passport, founded in 1970, ships vehicles throughout the contiguous United States in custom-designed trailers that hold up to six vehicles. Passport will continue to operate from St. Louis as a wholly owned subsidiary of FedEx Custom Critical. Robert M. Pass, founder of Passport, will serve as general manager.
FedEx Custom Critical, the critical-shipment carrier subsidiary of FedEx Corp., has been involved in transporting specialty vehicles for more than a decade through its White Glove Services division. James F. Snider II, vice president and general manager of the division, will oversee Passport Transport's operations.
