Kalitta Air adds Kuwait service
All-cargo carrier Kalitta Air said it will commence twice weekly B747 service between the United States and Kuwait on Dec. 4.
The Ypsilanti, Mich.-based company will extend some of its U.S.-to-Europe flights that originate in Chicago, with stops in New York, East Manchester Airport in Britain, Amsterdam through to the Middle East after receiving authority from U.S. and Kuwait aviation authorities. Kalitta is the first U.S. flag-carrier to offer scheduled all-cargo service to Kuwait, the company said.
'Demand for our available capacity to Kuwait is exceeding our expectations. As a result, we anticipate full loads even during the start-up period,' Chairman Conrad Kalitta said in a statement.
