RYDER CFO RESIGNS
Ryder System Inc. said Friday that C.J. Nelson, chief financial officer, has decided to leave the company. Tracy Leinbach, executive vice president, fleet management solutions, will take over as his duties on an interim basis.
Nelson will be CFO at JM Family Enterprises, a privately held automotive services company. He joined Ryder, a Miami-based logistics and transportation provider four years ago from privately owned Koch Industries.
Nelson's sudden departure came as a surprise, said Edward Wolfe, transportation equity analyst for Bear Stearns, in a note to clients. He noted that Nelson worked closely with Ryder chief executive Gregory Swienton, yet only provided a week's notice before tendering his formal resignation.
