MAERSK SEALAND PUSHES UP-RIVER TO WUHAN IN CHINA
Maersk Sealand now offers through bills of lading to and from Wuhan, Hubei province, in China.
Wuhan, a key industrial center, is a four-day barge journey from Shanghai up the river Yangtze, or three days sailing back down.
Sinotrans Hubei, Hubei CTD and Changjiang Forwarding have been appointed sub-agents to represent Maersk Sealand in Wuhan. Sinotrans Hubei and
Associated Marine Transportation Inc. have been appointed to perform the inland movements.
Initially four inland connections will be provided each week both ways between Shanghai and Wuhan.
