Car racks now available for 45-foot boxes
Trans-Rak, a company that makes special racks for transporting automobiles in containers, said the Dutch intermodal company Unit45 BV of Rotterdam, is now offering automotive logistics companies a range of 45-foot high-cube containers fitted with the Trans-Rak car transport system.
Trans-Raks had only been installed in 40-foot containers for deep-sea operations.
The company said the increased length would allow, for example, five VW-Polo sized cars to be loaded into a single container, while the increased 2.5-meter width would permit more space within the container to work.
