COSCO, YANGMING, “K” LINE TO ADD NINGBO PACIFIC CALL
COSCO Container Lines, the liner shipping arm of China
Ocean Shipping Co., said that it will add a direct call at Ningbo to its transpacific
service.
COSCO said that the additional Chinese call will be part of a revised
rotation of its "CES China Southeast" transpacific loop, operated within a
global alliance with Yangming Marine Transport and "K" Line. The CES service
calls weekly at Long Beach and Oakland in the U.S.
It isn’t known when calls at the port of Ningbo will commence.
Ningbo, located in Zhejiang province, near Shanghai, is generally served by
transshipment by transpacific carriers. The only direct service between Ningbo and North
America at present is a service operated by CMA CGM, according to ComPairData, the global
shipping database on the Internet at http://www.compairdata.com.
