SEABOARD ADDS CENTRAL AMERICAN SERVICE, EXTENDES WEST COAST SOUTH AMERICA LINK

Miami-based Seaboard Marine started a fortnightly U.S. to North Central American service, taken over from Concorde Line, on Sept. 10.

Operating one vessel, the service calls at New Orleans, Houston, Puerto Cortes, Santo Tomas, Belize City and back to New Orleans. Managua and El Salvador are served via transshipment.

In a separate development, Seaboard has also added a direct call at Buenavetura to its West Coast South America service. The service has a sailing frequency of 10 days and now calls Houston, Miami, Buenaventura, Callao, Arica, Iquique, Antofagasta, Valparaiso and Houston.
