10 FIRMS APPLY FOR OTI LICENSES

   Ten firms have applied to the U.S. Federal Maritime Commission for ocean transportation intermediary licenses.

   Five companies applied for licenses to operate as non-vessel-operating common carriers: ARC Global Logistics Inc., Miami; ACD Global Services Inc., Miami; Farenco Development Co. Ltd., New York City; Abacus Freight Forwarders, Los Angeles; and Unicorn Shipping Line Inc., Marina Del Ray, Calif.

   Four firms applying for licenses to operate as combination NVOs and ocean freight forwarders: Seacarriers, Miami; TFS Freight International Inc., Inglewood, Calif.; Worldwide Trade Logistics Inc., Jamaica, N.Y.; and Customs Brokers International, Los Angeles.

   Eagle Pacific Corp., Jamaica, N.Y., applied for a license to operate as an ocean freight forwarder.
