Alaska Airlines names cargo director

   Alaska Airlines has promoted Matt Yerbic to managing director of cargo, a newly created position at the airline.

   Yerbic will be responsible for all aspects of Alaska’s cargo business and will also provide a significant portion of the cargo support for Horizon Air, Alaska’s sister airline.

   He was managing director of station operations for the airline.
