NACA ACQUIRES EXPORT FREIGHT SERVICES IN SOUTH PACIFIC
NACA Logistics Group said Monday it has expanded its operations in the South Pacific, acquiring the business of Export Freight Services Pty. Ltd.
Sydney-based EFS operates in the Australia/Pacific Islands trade, providing full-containerload and weekly consolidation services from Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney to more than 30 South Pacific destinations.
The NACA group' non-vessel-operating common carriers Brennan International Transport, Conterm Consolidation Services and Direct Container Line provide more than 20 weekly consolidation services to Australia, New Zealand and the pacific Islands. With the acquisition of AFS Freight Management last summer, NACA expanded it service capabilities within the region with services connecting the Pacific Islands and Australia-New Zealand.
NACA said it has spent the past year restructuring its South Pacific services, including spinning off operations functions to new Australian and New Zealand offices for Vanguard Logistics Services, a warehousing and logistics subsidiary.
