SANDY HOOK PILOTS PICK AMERICAS SYSTEMS FOR DISPATCH SOLUTION
The United New York and New Jersey Sandy Hook Pilots Associations have contracted with Americas Systems Inc., a provider of real-time management tools, to develop a pilot scheduling and dispatching system.
ASI will provide an application that includes a billing module that will integrate with a third-party commercial software accounting package, as well as a dispatching system that connects with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s real-time monitoring of ship and cargo arrivals.
The new system will replace the pilots’ wall-mounted scheduling board with plastic tags, said Steve Bushey, president of Americas Systems, based in Murray Hill, N.J.
