Report: Asia-to-U.S. traffic soared 20% in November
Eastbound container traffic from Asia to the U.S. rose 20.5 percent to about 974,000 TEUs last November, continuing the fast cargo growth experienced in the first three quarters of the year, MOL’s research department said in a report.
The strong November figures follow a slower 9.5 percent increase reported for October in the Asia-to-U.S. container trade.
The ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach have already reported their combined inbound loaded container traffic rose 15 percent to 631,572 TEUs in November, when compared to the same month in 2003.
