Executive Moves: Maersk Line, American Waterways Operators and Greencarrier Freight Services

Maersk Line names HR chief, while the American Waterways Operators elects chairman and vice chairman and Greencarrier Freight Services appoints COO.

   Maersk Line has named Ulf Hahnemann chief human resources, effective Aug. 1. Hahnemann is currently vice president for strategic programs at candy maker Mars Inc. At Maersk Line, he replaces Michael Chivers, who resigned in January and will leave the company by the end of May.

   American Waterways Operators, a trade association representing the tugboat, towboat and barge industry, has elected James F. Farley, corporate vice president of industry relations at Kirby Corp., chairman. He succeeds David G. Sehrt, senior vice president and chief engineering officer at Ingram Barge Co. In addition, the association elected Edward J. “Ted” Tregurtha, president of Moran Towing Corp., to vice chairman.

   Greencarrier Freight Services has promoted Jarmo Halonen to chief operating officer. He was formerly the Northern European logistics company’s group director for road freight.
