Executive Moves: Jettainer and ChartCo

Thomas Sonntag is named managing director and Marcus Anvell is appointed area sales manager.

Thomas Sonntag will succeed Carsten Hernig as managing director of Jettainer on July 1.
Jettainer is an international service partner for outsourced unit load device management. Its parent company is Lufthansa Cargo, for which Hernig (pictured above right) will serve as head of the Latin America and Caribbean region in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Sonntag (above left) has spent more than 10 years in various management positions with Lufthansa Cargo. Previously, he served in management jobs at Siemens and ABB.
“As a proven supply chain expert and experienced manager, Thomas Sonntag will continue to drive Jettainer’s success story forward,” said Harald Gloy, chief operations officer at Lufthansa Cargo and a member of Jettainer’s advisory board. “Digital topics, further international growth and the development of new business segments will be the focus.”

ChartCo has hired Marcus Anvell as area sales manager for the Nordic regions.
In addition to maintaining a presence in the Nordics beyond the two current offices in Oslo and Sandnes, Anvell will be responsible for the sales of digital products, charts, publications and service updates.
“I have been passionate about shipping and business management throughout my career and I am thrilled to be combining both fields in my new position,” Anvell said. “ChartCo is a global forerunner in digital navigation, so it was a natural path for me to join the company as area sales manager for the Nordics.”
Anvell previously handled sales development for the marine lifecycle solutions provider Wartsila Corp.
