First-half lessons, second-half predictions — Freightonomics

Can 2021 get crazier than 2020?

Freightonomics

The first half of 2021 was full of disruptions to the freight markets, from continued COVID-19 outbreaks to the Ever Given disaster to the snowstorms in Texas. On this episode of Freightonomics, Zach Strickland and Anthony Smith look back at the first six months of the year.

The two discuss the impacts disruptive events had on all sectors of the industry and how recovery is going on the economic side.

Smith and Strickland also make some predictions about the future of the markets for the rest of the year and how people can prepare for unexpected disruptions in the next six months.
