Global omnichannel fulfillment platform ShipBob has launched a new fulfillment option for online sellers that streamlines the process by which inventory is entered into Amazon’s network for delivery.

The Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA) Prep Automation service prepares and sends ShipBob merchants’ FBA inventory to Amazon for faster placement, allowing them to use ShipBob as their centralized inventory hub.

“We are here to support our merchants and their ambitions to efficiently scale globally,” said Dhruv Saxena, CEO and co-founder of ShipBob. “Amazon is an important sales lever for many of our merchants, so we are bringing new levels of automation to the Amazon FBA prep process that alleviates major pain points for sellers. Also, as we have been rapidly expanding internationally with our fulfillment centers across Canada, the U.K., Europe and Australia, this new Amazon FBM offering around the world unlocks so much opportunity for our merchants to differentiate from their competitors when they need every advantage they can find.”

In addition, ShipBob announced its Fulfilled by Merchant (FBM) capabilities have now been rolled out in nine global e-commerce markets — the U.S., Canada, Mexico, U.K., Germany, France, Spain, Italy and Poland.

U.S. customers using the Automated FBA Prep service receive several benefits, ShipBob said, including automation of the process from order creation to fulfillment by syncing order and shipping label information between ShipBob and Amazon. Merchants can also prep orders directly from ShipBob’s dashboard and choose between a ShipBob or Amazon prepaid shipping label.

A ShipBob application programming interface allows merchants to bypass Amazon workflows while ShipBob’s centralized inventory hub enables easy movement of items into Amazon’s or other retailers’ networks.

The launch of Amazon FBM in key global e-commerce markets allows merchants in these countries to connect ShipBob to their Amazon storefronts. Products, inventory and orders are updated via automatic, bulk or manual syncs. Automatic syncs occur every 15 minutes.

ShipBob said it is now just the second platform, after Shopify, to offer this level of integration directly with Amazon. ShipBob has similar integrations with more than 40 e-commerce platforms, including Shopify, BigCommerce and Walmart.
