ABX Air earnings down 11% after DHL cutbacks
Wilmington, Ohio-based cargo airline ABX Air reported third quarter net income of $6.6 million, down 11 percent compared to the same quarter 2005.
In May, ABX's primary customer, DHL, assumed direct management of its truck line-haul operations from ABX.
Third quarter revenue dropped 24 percent to $281.3 million, from $369.9 million a year ago.
After nine months, ABX's net income was marginally lower at $21.1 million while revenue decreased 11 percent to $954.1 million.
