AESDIRECT GETS NEW DATA FIELD FOR IMPORTS LATER RE-EXPORTED
The U.S. Census Bureau has added a new data field to its free Internet link to the government’s Automated Export System, which is required for commodities imported into the United States for export to a third-party country of destination.
The purpose of the new data field, labeled “Entry Number” in AESDirect, is outlined by Census in a letter to the shipping industry on Feb. 20. For the complete letter, access on line at:
