Air Canada commences first ever non-stop Toronto-Beijing flights
Montr'al-based Air Canada Thursday inaugurated its Toronto/Beijing service, the first-ever non-stop service between eastern Canada and mainland China.
An A340-300 aircraft departed Toronto Thursday at 10.00 a.m.
Air Canada said it plans to increase flights from four times per week to a daily frequency by 2006 using new provisions in the recently revised Canada-China bilateral air agreement.
