Air cargo-pricing investigators call on Air Canada
Air Canada said Monday that officials from the U.S. Justice Department have recently sought information from the airline concerning the joint investigation with the European Union into alleged anticompetitive pricing practices in the air freight industry.
In February, major airlines including American Airlines, United Airlines, British Airways, Air France, Lufthansa, Cathay Pacific, as well as cargo operators like Cargolux, were all subjected to early morning raids in offices across Europe, Asia and the United States.
“Air Canada is cooperating fully with this investigation . It is Air Canada’s policy to conduct its business in full compliance with all applicable laws,” Air Canada said.
